Alison's TV Career

Alison first appeared on our screens in 1996 with Home In The Country, since when she has also presented Countdown to Christmas (Five), The Christmas Show (ITV), Domestic Magic (Five), Homes & Property (ITV1) and Don't Move Improve (ITV). Alison currently appears in regular slots for This Morning (ITV1) and The Vanessa Show (Five).

Author

Alison has authored five books on the subject of property and interiors. They are Profit Through The Post (1994), The Streetwise Guide to Renovating Your Home (1996), Home In The Country (1997), Beautiful Baking (1999) and Special Occasions (2000).

Journalist

Alison is one of the UK's most popular interiors columnists, writing weekly columns for the London Evening Standard and the Daily Telegraph on money-saving in the home. In 2005, Alison founded Homes & Bargains.

Businesswoman

In addition to Homes & Bargains, Alison has founded 2 other businesses. Founded in 2000, ProblemSolved is a social networking website designed to help homeowners find a reliable local tradesman. Alison founded Bayswater Media Group, a publishing company specialising in producing home interest supplements and columns for national press, including the Bargain Guide and the Interiors series for the Daily Telegraph.
