Marks & Spencer Furniture Outlet Savings
Author: Charlotte Coxhead
Marks & Spencer is a brand that everyone is familiar with. It’s one of the best known household brands and a quintessentially British staple. It is not, however, always associated with savings, positioning itself as high in quality with prices to match.
- If you live far away from the store and cannot pop in for a quick bargain-hunt, you can always call the store and ask them to keep an eye out for when your piece comes into stock. Be specific about colour, fabrics and give a range as this will increase your chances of striking gold.
- Ask when they’re next getting a delivery of stock – furniture is delivered by the container – make sure you’re the first to get a look in.
- Speak to the manager – you may be able to negotiate a discount, free cushions or free delivery – make them work for the sale and remember: if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
- Cash is always a psychological winner – offer cash for a discount and don’t be afraid to flash it to close the deal.
Outlets that regularly stock Marks and Spencer furniture include London Warehouse, which has two branches in London (Wimbledon and Walton-on-Thames). It stocks a wide range of designer and well-known brands in stock, including this striking Leather Barletta Sofa, originally retailing at £1,599, slashed to just £749. What’s more, the team Tweets their avid furniture bargain-hunters with details of the latest stock every weekend so they can stay bang up to date. The 15,000 sq ft warehouse turns over new stock every week – keep your ear to the ground to bag the pick of the discounts.
National Brands is another fantastic find. As the name suggests, they stock many a well-known (you guessed it) national brand including Marks & Spencer. This Abbey Sofa normally retails from £799.00 to £1,249.00 (depending on the choice of leather or fabric) but these fly off the shelves at National Brands for roughly half the price, sometimes even less. With two warehouses in Cambridge and Liverpool, National Brands is a little more exclusive than some; customers have to register as members before they can buy.
